Prediction - LSU jumps USC in next poll (#3)

If that doesn't happen, then we have to determine that the pollsters are not looking at the games or results.  USC is still the second best team in America (on paper), but LSU has played two top 25 teams and a couple of other decent teams and only South Carolina could even keep it close.

USC only has an average Nebraska team as a ranked victom and they barely got by Washington which, admittably is improved, but is not yet a class organization.
