great (#7)

I like it, and I commend you for finding a format to write it concisely. I wrote a "March Madness Guide" column and it went beyond what you can consider a column, and turned into a Bill Simmons-esque cover all. Maybe just for drama, I spent a good deal of time debating whether my big sleeper team, Albany, can upset Ohio State. I of course am not retarded, and would never put money on it, but I think the Great Danes make the Sweet 16.

Thank you (#8)

Albany may not see Ohio State in the Sweet 16.  I think Ohio State is going to lose to Xavier in the second round.  That game has all the makings of an upset.  The crowd should be pro-Xavier since Cincinnati is only about an hour and a half away from Lexington whereas Columbus is four hours.  The players on Xavier have to have a chip on their shoulder since Thad Matta left AND because most of them are considered in the tier of recruits directly below the Ohio State kids.  I think Xavier is going to win that game and it will be the story of the weekend.

BTW, does vt in vtknowitall stand for Virginia Tech.  If it does, I have your Hokies in just about in about 50% of the Sweet 16's that I filled out brackets for.

it does stand for Virginia Tech. I have them making it to the Sweet 16 in most of my brackets. I think it is an advantage that they 1. got a major conference team in the first round and 2. will likely get a team they have motivation against in the second round it Souther Illinois, who beat them this year, but they really are not built for a deep run. I am a huge fan, but I would not pick them to go past the Sweet 16

Hokies (#10)

You can make an argument that Virginia Tech is getting the play the worst at-large team in the field.  They are going to smack Illinois in the first round.  If Southern Illinois gets by Holy Cross, which isn't a gimme them and Tech would be a great contrast in styles.

BTW, Deron Washington is easily the nastiest dunker I have this season.
