Before this article gets knocked out of the water, let me justify my vote.  I feel the problem with your article is that you are already awarding the Rookie of the Year award and it is too early for that.  

If your intention is to clarify the candidates for this award then you can get away with that this time of the year, but state this clearly.  Your article doesn't do this, but awards the trophy already.  Too much can happen between now and the end of the year.
