I think the Mets grossly overpaid for Alou, as well.  In my opinion, a healthy Floyd is a better option.

Zito in Texas could be very interesting.  The AL West may be even closer next year, since the A's would lose something and the Rangers would gain.

If the Red Sox let Daisuke Matsuzaka go, and the Yankees close in on him, Theo Epstein will be killed on sight.

SIDENOTE:

Jeff Weaver came from the L.A. Angels this year (displaced by his brother, Jered).  You had him coming from the Yankees.  No biggie...just thought I'd point that out.
