you're absolutely right, how many times do we actually get to enjoy the ultimate completion of the journey? Of all the years I watched my teams play, only three times did I get to celebrate a championship. It just doesn't happen that much, so enjoy it when it does, and if not, there's always next year. Unless you live in the North Side of Chicago, then you never nail the prom queen, no matter how rich you are (Prior, Wood,Zambrano) or how fast your car is (Soriano).

Championships (#2)

I got real spoiled in the 80s and 90s when the 49ers tore off five Super Bowls and the A's got the World Series.  Since then, the 49ers, A's, Warriors, and my alma mater have gotten a grand total of zero championships.  I definitely took it for granted. Now after getting nailed in the nuts with the A's for all these years, I think I am ready to truly appreciate a World Series.

I think at this point Cubs fans must treat their team like I treat the Golden State Warriors.  If they finally get a title, the party will be the longest and wildest in history.  However they must keep their expectations real guarded and cnnstantly talk up the Bulls and Bears instead of the Cubbies.

"No, cause it ain't sh*t. Ain't nothing but 10 grand. What's 10 grand to me? Ain't sh*t ... Next time I might shake my d*ck." --Randy Moss
