Being a Yankee fan, I almost feel bad doing this, but I continually remind myself of the social responsibility of being the best.  Being the best you should set an example; and I'm not just talking about grammar and spelling.  I think a New Yorker/aka Yankees fan doesn't have to hate or root against another team.  It's the quiet confidence and self-assurance that you either were raised with, or you fight to convince everyone you have.  

   by the way, belligerently doesn't have an 'a' in it and the all sports teams are groups of people...don't need to refer to the Red Sox as a singular, you would do it, "a player on the Red Sox,"
