Maybe if you give your writers something to strive for such as a Top 5 List so writers can compete for the top spots.

Maybe provide other links where writers can go to submit stories (reference links).

Set up a panel of three or four of your best writers and have every submission go through them in order to get onto the front page(main page)setting up a points system to qualify.

there is something called Featured Writers which is what writers should strive for. It means all of your stories are instantly published on the front door.  So far, only Boston Mac has that distinction.

I'm glad he got the nod. For now I'm not going to nominate anyone else, but I hope that other people do because there are a few worthy candidates which I would vote for. Also on that note (given that someone called me "the best" the other day), I do cordially ask that I am not nominated because there are still some members who are unquestionably better and more experienced than I am. I would vote against myself earning such an honor.

Congrats to Boston Mac. He deserved the recognition.
